Fuels in Engi­ne Testing

Fuels and fuel addi­ti­ves are tested on state-of-the-art engi­ne and chas­sis dyna­mo­me­ter test benches accor­ding to speci­fied profiles of requirements.

APL engi­neers are acti­ve members in the respec­ti­ve CEC working groups. They regu­lar­ly parti­ci­pa­te successful­ly in inter­na­tio­nal rater work­shops. All test proce­du­res are refe­ren­ced at fixed inter­vals. All of this guaran­tees a high quali­ty of results and accep­tance of the results in the fuel and auto­mo­ti­ve industry.

Coor­di­na­ting Euro­pean Coun­cil (CEC) Testing

Quali­ty is proven by passing tests in stan­dar­di­sed test proce­du­res. APL has been a member of the Coor­di­na­ting Euro­pean Coun­cil (CEC) for many years and APL employees have always been acti­ve in respec­ti­ve working groups.

Fuel Blen­ding: From Deli­very to Finis­hed Blends

The blen­ding process follows exact­ly the instruc­tions given by the custo­mer in the follo­wing steps:


Depen­ding on the quan­ti­ty, the fuel is deli­ver­ed via tanker, in contai­ners (IBC) or fuel drums.


The deli­ver­ed fuel is analy­sed in our on-site chemi­cal & physi­cal labo­ra­to­ry and unloa­ded only if the requi­red speci­fi­ca­ti­ons are met.


Fuel blen­ding (biofuels, addi­ti­ves, special blends) is carri­ed out accor­ding to custo­mer instruc­tions. Our 3‑shift system (7 days a week and 24 hours a day) allows the fuels to be blen­ded just befo­re the test starts. The APL fuel supp­ly system is comple­te­ly free of ferrous metals.
