Engi­ne hard­ware and lubri­ca­ti­on tech­no­lo­gies have evol­ved over the years to beco­me a complex, sophisti­ca­ted system. The design and execu­ti­on of appro­pria­te tests requi­res a combi­na­ti­on of skil­led & expe­ri­en­ced engi­neers, modern testing faci­li­ties and state-of-the-art measu­ring tech­no­lo­gies – a combi­na­ti­on which has been nurtu­red in Land­au for more than 30 years.

Indus­try Stan­dard Tests
The ACEA Sequen­ces form the basis of many modern lubri­cant speci­fi­ca­ti­ons which ensu­re the basic protec­tion of engi­nes. APL has always play­ed a central role in the indus­try by offe­ring every exis­ting CEC engi­ne test method in modern, accredi­ted, refe­ren­ced testing facilities.
OEM In-House Tests
The next level of perfor­mance is to prove a product is capa­ble of fulfil­ling OEM requi­re­ments. OEM in-house tests are the means by which this is achie­ved and APL offer a wide range of test methods from various OEMs
Bespo­ke Projects
Funda­men­tal rese­arch to support the deve­lo­p­ment of inno­va­ti­ve new products typi­cal­ly requi­res the deve­lo­p­ment and utili­sa­ti­on of bespo­ke test cycles and methods, as well as state-of-the-art measu­re­ment tech­no­lo­gies. Such tech­ni­ques are also perfect­ly suited to diffe­ren­tia­ting high quali­ty products for the purpo­se of success­ful marketing.
Euro­pean Engi­ne Tests

The proof of quali­ty for products desti­ned for markets which utili­se the ACEA sequen­ces is achie­ved by testing in stan­dar­di­sed test methods. As a long-term member of the Coor­di­na­ting Euro­pean Coun­cil APL employees have always been very acti­ve in Test Deve­lo­p­ment and Surveil­lan­ce Groups.
