// Fuel Cell Powertrains

As part of the rapidly incre­a­sing decar­bo­niz­a­ti­on of drive tech­no­lo­gy, the fuel cell makes it´s way to APL as it is an emis­si­on free ener­gy conver­ter. The build up of the hydro­gen and fuel cell testing faci­li­ty is ambi­tious­ly pursu­it aiming to “step on the pedal” with zero emis­si­ons in 2022. First step in the build up phase is a free­ly scala­b­le trai­ler-based hydro­gen supply desi­gned for 24/7 conti­nuous opera­ti­on. APL will start off with 6 testing stati­ons for fuel cells which can be opera­ted on behalf of our custo­mers from the auto­mo­ti­ve and avia­ti­on indus­tries in order to charac­te­ri­ze opera­tio­nal beha­viour and endu­ran­ce as well as opti­miz­a­ti­on and cost reduc­tion potentials.
